All of the information that was used in the making of this report on The History of Boyle Heights, was referenced to the book by Boyle Workman titled The City that Grew. Boyle Workman was son to William H. Workman who was the Mayor of Los Angeles, as was stated in the report. Mr. Boyle Workman was also the grandson of the original Andrew A. Boyle whom the report also talks about. The City that Grew was an excellent reference in the making of this report and I could not have done it without the book. This book also talks about the developmental stage in the history of Los Angeles and, in my opinion, is a great book. This book was published and copyrighted by the Southland Publishing Co., in Los Angeles, California in the year of 1935.
