The Museum of Flying has one of the most extensive collections of World War II aircraft in California. Located at the Santa Monica Airport on virtually the same spot where Donald Douglas Aircraft was founded in 1922, the Museum of Flying includes over 30 aircraft, some of which are maintained in flight-ready condition. Visitors to the Donald Douglas Board Room Exhibit can view historical films in our theater, or they can join the fun at Airventure, the interactive children's educational program that includes weekend family workshops that are free with admission and require no advance registration. Workshops are on Sundays from noon to 2:00 p.m., and our instructors will provide directions and materials to make the experience meaningful. Children under six must be accompanied by an adult.
