Sunrise...Sunset - Bilingual Telemation Unit 4-7 Resources

Here are some anthologies, science fiction and non-fiction books that can provide a reading selections and ideas for thematic instruction. There is a wealth of materials on astronomy. The ones listed only scratch the surface and should lead to much more. Integration of this science unit into language arts, social studies, math, and art will provide a fascinating unit of study for your students.

"Scope on the Skies", Science Scope, published by National Science Teachers Association.

This column is a regular feature of the magazine and has good background information as well as lessons and often myths.

Wonderful articles integrating astronomy with art and literature. Includes a book list.

Excellent collection of lessons. Strongly integrates math and each lesson is introduced with a poem. Includes pages of annotated bibliography. Great resource.
