Building A Suspension Bridge

  2. Road Section Specifications

  3. Putting it All Together

  • I've found that dividing the class into construction crews is both helpful and fun. Each crew is responsible for one section of the bridge. There should be one person selected from each crew to be the crew leader. Crew leader is responsible for reading "plans" and making sure specifications are met.

  • The minimum number of sections (bridge could be made longer) are 5. There are 3 vertical supports and 2 road sections (drawings and specifications on following pages) so there should be a minimum of 5 construction crews.
