Papilio zelicaon zelicaon FP. parsley family, wild and introduced species as Anise or fennel and Carrots, may be pest on Citrus. NS many flowers, especially lantana. Larvae easy to find and rear. Males congregate on hill tops. |

P. indra pergamus FP Tauschia, Lomatium. Restricted to San Gabriel and Santa Ana mts. over 2000 ft. Difficult to rear, diseaseprone. Males seek ridges and high ground. Rare, females must not be collected. Should be monitored. |

P. rutulus rutulus Usual FP: sycamore, Poplar, cottonwood, willows, alders. Can be encourgaed in gardens with good nectar sources: lantana, zinnia, thistles, Yerba Santa; usually large high flowers, also sip mud. |

P. eurymedon Usual FP Prunus, Rhamnus and Ceanothus. Only in hilly and mountain areas, rarely near residential ares or in gardens. Adults sip flowers and mud. |
